Genealogies. Unless you are an avid fan of Tony Robinson's Time Team you might not naturally find them enjoyable.

While it is hard to find personal life application within them, we can study and find a deeper sense of assurance to the claims of the Bible. If these claims aren't true the author wouldn't add so much detail and depth.

The author of Chronicles wants us to read and have assurance to believe that this is the word of God. I hold similar thoughts with Luke's introduction to his Gospel, 1:1-4

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled[a]among us,just as they were handed down to us by those who from the firstwere eyewitnessesand servants of the word.With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly accountfor you, most excellentTheophilus,so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.
