Children are very much part of Bethany City Church. Every week we worship all together and then the children (from 3 years old to the end of school year 10) go to their groups just before the message. If your children have not attended Beacons (3-10) or The Grid (11-14) before please ask someone or just follow the others and they will be directed to the correct location. We do encourage you to help your children to take part in the service, however there are colouring pens and pages available from the Welcome Desk if they get restless, if you do borrow pens please return them at the end of the service.

   IGNITION is a mid-week club for children aged 7-11 (school years 2-6) taking place every Wednesday night during term-time 6:00pm-7:15pm at Sunderland Free Church. 

We run a programme of exciting games and crafts, with a really simple story in the middle.

To join in the fun, come along on a Wednesday night or request more information and a registration form from Bobby or Rachel Martin.

Children are very welcome at Bethany City Church and form a vibrant part of our church community. We call our Sunday School, Bethany Beacons and we cater for children from age 2 to 11.

The Beacons go out part way through the Sunday morning service at the Quayside Exchange and classes are held for different age groups, all led by dedicated and experienced teachers. We use craft activities, drama, and games to make the time as enjoyable as possible and to help to teach the children about Jesus and how they are a child of God.
