The crèche corner ...

runs along side the main church in the same room. This is aimed at children under three years old. The idea is that parents/carers can sit with their children and listen to the service, whilst the little ones play with the toys.

When we first started Bethany City Church we experimented with crèche facilities in a room away from the main church. This worked well when we had older, more active children, who were nearly ready to go into Bethany Beacons (Sunday School). As these children moved up it became apparent that most of the children left were babies under 18months.We consulted parents, who seemed to indicate that they would like to stay within the service and hear the message as well as keep the children occupied.

After much prayer and consideration we decided to make a crèche corner that could be set up where ever the church was meeting. This would provide access to the toys and still help everyone to hear the message. We have been doing this for some time now and parents say it works well. If age groups vary then we will prayerfully consider any further option.

If you wish to keep children beside you in the service, please feel free to borrow toys to use at your seat.

We cherish young children and hope that we can help families do the same by providing this facility.
